Northern Nevada Spring Football League

2026 Game Day Quick Guide

Quick standards for all NNSFL game days: responsibilities, forfeits, ejections, and authority. This is here so nobody can pretend they “didn’t know.”

Home Team Responsibilities
  • Field: provide regulation field (safe + playable)
  • Officials: provide required officials (minimum to start)
  • Medical: provide EMT / First Responder onsite
  • Safety: prepare field and ensure AED access
Standard: No EMT/First Responder = no kickoff. No exceptions.
Away Team Responsibilities
  • Chain gang only
Standard: Show up early and be ready. Delays hurt everybody’s schedule.
Running Clock / Mercy
  • Tackle: 30+ point lead triggers running clock
  • Does not revert once activated
Forfeits
  • Missing officials after grace period
  • Missing EMT / First Responder
  • Unsafe or unavailable field
  • Failure to check in on time
  • Bench-clearing incident (may trigger team ejection)
Reality: if your sideline can’t behave, you can lose the game without “playing” a down.
Ejections
  • Minimum: 1-game suspension
  • Second offense: may result in season suspension
  • Fighting: zero tolerance
Standard: fighting, taunting, or threats = removal. Protect the players and the event.
Authority
  • Referee reports are primary authority
  • NNSFL has final discretion on discipline and disputes
No protests of judgment calls. Games are not replayed because someone is unhappy.

Bottom line: control your people. If you can’t, NNSFL will.
