About the Northern Nevada Spring Football League
NNSFL is standards-driven spring football built around published rules, eligibility, safety, and enforcement.
Clear formats. Clean check-in. Consistent standards.
NNSFL started because Reno didn’t have a real spring football platform for what athletes needed:
a consistent 7v7 passing league, a true 5v5 linemen format,
and an organized All-Girls Flag league.
It began with my son and his friends wanting to build a 7v7 team, and we started traveling to California to compete in tournaments.
The next year, Shannon Roberts (Respect to you Toko,oFa atu) introduced me to the idea of running my own league and building it the right way.
A few people tried running 7v7 in Reno, but it wasn’t planned out long-term.
We had the most consistent success in Reno and Northern Nevada on our first run, so we’re building NNSFL for the long haul
into a full spring system with multiple formats in play.
Now we’re in-season and pushing for the long run. We’re building something sustainable and running it the right way:
structure, safety, standards, and enforcement that stays consistent week after week.
- Check-in & eligibility are enforced. No guessing.
- Safety & sideline control matter. Rules exist for a reason.
- Consistency: same expectations every weekend.
- Transparency: if it matters, it’s written and published.
it’s not “organized.” It’s just loud.
